Both of my boys are working with OT's b/c they have SPD. Just wondering if anyone has kids with SPD? How do you handle their needs? How do you help them when you don't understand how they feel and what they need?

While not an official diagnosis, it was thought that my eldest child could have a mild form of SPD. Sometimes it gets really frustrating, and I usually just take my best guess, do the best I can, and then make sure that I get a break if it's been a more difficult day. Not much help, is it?

Do you know that there is a movie theater in Amherst that has special movie nights for these types of children? Sound turned down, lights turned up,....It might be the Dipson theater but I'd have to look around for the info.
