Since my baby got sick with her ear infection (put on medicine
Sunday evening), she WILL not go down for naps or bed on her own
anymore! I thought by today it would change, but nope! She finally
was at the point where she puts herself to sleep no problem for
every nap and bedtime, now it's a ruined. Do I havd to "re sleep
train" I would hate to go through that again and especially having
her cry when she doesn't feel good. Help please! She's so tired and
won't go to sleep on her own.

I hate to say it, but you basically do have to start over. The good
news is that they "get it" much quicker the second time around. I
would cut her some slack for now since she isn't feeling good, but
once she is on the mend, I would put her in her crib and let her
be.
My kids always had a set-back as far as sleeping is concerned
when they got sick. But it's a quick fix and you did it once and
can do it again!
Good luck!

Do you think her ear is still bothering her? It hurts them much
worse when they lay flat :(
When my boys are sick I totally baby them at night when they get
up, I never let them cry for a minute when they are sick. But as
soon as I know they are better, it's back to the old routine.
Sometimes it takes 1 night of a bit of crying, but definitely not
retraining.

Thanks! I am really hoping (fingers crossed) it won't be terrible
getting her back into routine. I keep attempting each time to lay
her down but thats a no go! Yesterday she took great naps with me
putting her to sleep then down, and even with me putting her to
sleep first she slept untill 8 this morning so maybe once she's
feeling better it wont be so bad. I know yesterday she was still
putting her hand on her ear so it had to have been still bothering
her, and in top of the ear infection she has a cold and her nose is
running like crazy, so I'm assuming it's a bit harder to breath
when laying down too.
