Ugh, not feeling the beauty of pregnancy

Forgive me for griping about my ugliness, but I'm really struggling
lately to feel good during pregnancy. This is my fourth and while
I'm happy to be having another bundle, I feel physically and
emotionally horrible. I'm exhausted, have gall stones, and my skin
and hair is awful....not to mention the nasty spider and varicose
veins that are rearing their ugly heads.
Anyone else feel this way during pregnancy? What do/did you do to
feel beautiful while pregnant?

Maybe you need a day of beauty. Go get a mani/pedi with a
girlfriend and let someone take of you.

Ha! I was just saying this same exact thing to my husband about 5
min ago! I feel like I'm stuck in a funk, I really need to go get
my hair done and my eyebrows waxed then put some make up on. I know
if I did just those 3 things I'd feel so much better. I'm 31 weeks
now, so not too much longer. Maybe we should make a primping and
lunch date :)

I don't think there is anything that makes you feel better LOL I'm
due in 3 weeks and for the past 3 months (at least) I have felt
like a bloated cow - no matter how many times I got my hair done
and my eyebrows waxed :) There is just nothing sexy about swollen
ankles and this huge basketball in the middle that makes you waddle
like a duck. And the only thing that WOULD make me feel better -
wine!! - I'm not allowed to have. So a lose-lose situation. But I
know that in 3 weeks I will feel that it was all worth it. I think
we just have to toughen this out, girls. :)

I have 4 children as well and my 4th pregnancy was terrible. I was
in the ER twice with debilitating chest pain that they tried to
chalk up to heartburn...but was just the pregnancy and extra blood
flow and all ( who knows what it was but it did go away), I had
(please excuse my TMI lol) thrombosed hemorrhoids that had to be
removed - I screamed with that one...very loudly, bad morning
sickness for the first 5 months, terrible OB experience which
aggravated me to the point of having a home birth, more aches,
pains, my feet blew up to 3 times the size ( I have the pictures to
prove it! lol), was 10 days late, and gained the most weight of any
pregnancy!
I was not a happy camper. I was not the glowing pregnant lady. I
was miserable and moody....my poor husband and kids lol.
You are not alone! But this too shall pass and you will be so happy
when it's all over:)
