Having PCOS and trying to get pregnant again without any medical
intervention has been ridiculous to say the least. We considered
fertility drugs, but ultimately decided that if it's meant to be,
it will happen on it's own, like it did with Liam ( I call him my
Miracle Baby!)
Well, I had a check up on Friday with my OBGYN, and she told me
that I was showing signs that I was ovulating that day, all on my
own!!! She advised me to go home and do the deed ASAP, and
luckily my husband wasn't working Friday and our son was napping
when I got home ;)
I am so nervous and excited that I just had to share this with
someone. I am praying for a positive in a few weeks :) This is
going to be the longest wait of my life LOL!

Sending 'positive' thoughts your way! It's amazing how two weeks
can pass so quickly when you are, say, on vacation but can feel
like an eternity when you are waiting for something. Hopefully, you
have plenty to keep you distracted between now and then. I'll keep
fingers crossed for you!

Thanks everyone. Does anyone know when I could take a pregnancy
test (my cycle is extremely irregular, so a week after a missed
period isn't really an option). I remember with Liam that I didn't
get a positive until i was almost 8 weeks along, but they say no
two pregnancies are alike!

Three years ago with my last pregnancy, I tested positive 9 days
after intercourse. The test was a very light positive, so I
really didn't believe it. Fortuantely I had my yearly with my
ob/gyn scheduled the very next day and she ran blood work and
confirmed I was pregnant. Unfortuantely I miscarriaged a week later
(I was 41 and I've already given birth to 4 girls)- so I wasn't
completely devastated because it wasn't planned. You could start
checking and make sure you're taking your prenatal!!

BTW, as you can probably imagine I was extremely anxious wanting to
know the results. I think I bought 3 pregnancy tests! In hind
sight, I probably just should have waited and instead of spending
all that money on those highly sensitive EPT tests.

If you were showing signs of ovulating last Friday, you would see a
positive HPT with in 2 to 3 weeks of that time. So I would say you
could take a test next week Fri. If it's negative, wait 1 week and
try again:)

Ok, I had to bump up this thread. I'm driving myself crazy over
here.
It's been about 4 weeks since we did the deed with my supposed
ovulation, all HPT's have been negative.
BUT, I swear I have several pregnancy symptoms. Could be all in
my head, but maybe not.
Within the past 1-2 weeks, I've felt queasy at times, especially
when I drive, which was a huge thing when I was pregnant with
Liam. Also, sore breasts & armpits, nipples tingle like they
did when I was breastfeeding. Also have had awful heartburn
everyday all day- just like my entire pregnancy with Liam.
I didn't get a positive HPT with Liam until I was 6-8 weeks past
conception. The day I got a positive was exactly 9 weeks
from the first day of my last period. I had several false
negatives before that day.
Seeing how I have PCOS, I'm wondering if the hormonal imbalance
can effect the production of HCG in early pregnancy, thus causing
false negative HPTs? I find conflicting arguments about this
online.
I feel like a moron calling my doctor about all this- but I feel
like the only thing I would trust at this point would be a
sonogram. What should I do??

Metformin)...sending happy thoughts your way!
