Are there vending machines in your child's school???
If yes, is it an elementary, middle, or high school?
Is it a public or a private school?
Are they filled with healthy snacks, unhealthy snacks, healthy
beverages, or unhealthy beverages?
How do you feel about vending machines in schools?

there are three vending machines in my children's high school. One
has granola bars, one has gatorade, I know last year they had
snacks- not sure if they changed that one over. They were suppose
to this fall, but when we were there for freshman orientation- it
still had stuff from June. I told my children to save their money
and I would be happy to purchase water, gatorade or healthy snacks
after seeing that the machines did not get changed from June til
august.

In my children's public elementary school there is a Snapple
machine. I frequently have lunch with my children and see tons of
kids purchasing drinks from there. My son says it's the cool thing
to do at lunch.

No kids in school, but in my high school we had vending machine
that sold cans of juice. The pop machine was hidden away in the
teacher's lounge!

There are in the high school but they are kept locked and behid
bars. I don't understand that at all. Why have them if they are
locked up for 99% of the time. It's a waste of money. But they have
an aray of items from candy to granola bars, and water, juice, and
pop...but it seems they can't be purchased.
It doesn't bother me that they have them in the high school. If
they were in the elementary and middle school that might be a
problem unless they were monitored.
