Help Ronald McDonald House by donating your pull tabs! Pop tabs are recycled and the money purchases household items for the nearly 600 families who stay annually at the Ronald McDonald House while their child is in a Buffalo hospital.

The Pop Tab Program is a perfect way for famlies, businesses, schools, clubs., etc., to help these families! Collect the pull tabs from your beverage cans, vegetable and soup cans, pet food, special diet containers, etc., and donate them to:

Ronald McDonald House
780 West Ferry Street
Buffalo 14222

-or-

drop them off at our Channel 2 studios and we'll deliver them:

WGRZ
259 Delaware Avenue
Buffalo, NY 14202

I keep a small container in my kitchen for the pull tabs and my kids know to pull the tab off and place it in there! Though we don't drink a lot of pop, I'm always surprised how many tabs we collect - on the cat food, soup, etc. I deliver the tabs once or twice a year -- an inexpensive way to give!

Everyone in our car club saves them and we turn them in regularly. We've been doing it for quite a while. I don't recall how or when we started.

That's awesome! Who would think something we throw away could be so valuable to a non profit? Last year those pop tabs helped raise over $3,000!

I also have been saving tabs for quite a while and my friend's husband also saves them for me. However, I've been giving them to yet another close friend who takes them to a kidney foundation. She had a friend on dialysis who has passed away. My son's best man for his wedding has had a kidney transplant within the last couple of years. He is only 30 and this gave him a second chance in life. Ronald MacDonald House is 5 minutes away from me, but I've been unaware of their needs so thank you for enlightening me. Maybe I can split the tabs for both causes!

Just received another container full of tabs from my friend. This time I will donate them to The Ronald McDonald House; it's about 5 minutes from my house so it will be no problem to drop them off. Glad to do what I can to help out!

THANK YOU to everyone who has dropped off their pull tabs (to us here at WGRZ or directly to Ronald McDonald House) -- I delivered the pull tabs collected by WGRZ employees as well as members of WNYMoms and received this thank you, which I wanted to share with you. Keep collecting them, they are put to good use!

Just took a bag full of pull tabs to Ronald McDonald House and got another thank you (similar to the one above) for WNYMoms donating pull tabs!

Save your pull tabs and donate them to Ronald McDonald House
--- they take them to Metalico Buffalo and the recycling center sends them a check that they use to serve the families who stay with them. Thank you mi3suns for the bag of pull tabs --- I'll be delivering them soon!

Thanks for dropping them off! School used to collect them for charity so there's still some people who still drop them off so I just pass them on to you. It's a great cause.
