Has anyone else had or have a baby with stranger anxiety? I never
went through this with the twins, but my almost 8 mth old has had
it since she was prob 5 1/2 mths. It's so hard to go anywhere, well
not anywhere like shopping or our like that, but family functions,
dinners, parties, etc, I have to hold her the whole time or she
will scream and cry till I take her back. Shes not as bad with my
family because we see them more often, so she will at lest sit in a
high chair or play on the floor but I have to be right there with
her. If someone comes over to hold her, nope! Lol!! Then with my
husbands fam we don't see very often so I can't put her down for a
second around them. When we go out my parents babysit and she is
good once I'm gone out of the house, and she's ok with my sister, I
sure hope so because she's watching the kids nxt Saturday lol, and
I can't have a good time out if I am worried the baby will be
crying while I'm gone. She's good with being with my husband too,
as long as I am totally out of sight. So I was just wondering if
anyone else has gone or is going through this and if they have any
tips on how to get past this stage. Thanks! :)

My younger daughter (10 months) stays glued to me, much more than
her older sister did. She now does some independent playing, and it
sometimes suprises me.
Last Sunday I was trying to get ready to leave the house, and she
would scream when I would have her sit next to my leg. I had to ask
my husband to hold her; he was going to have a bit of sleeping-in
time, but that didn't happen.

Isn't it hard?! Thank goodness she will go with my husband and my
mother most of the time but other then that it's very hard when we
are around other people. At home though she is good with playing
alone, or on the floor with the boys or in her jumparoo, good thing
lol or it would just be crazzzzy if it was like that all the time
lol!

You are not alone. Both of my kids did this. I think it is just
based on the child. We didn't go to church for quite a while simply
because they would not go into nursery. Actually, one of my kids is
now 5 and is suddenly reverting to this behavior. Not the
screaming, but there were an awful lot of tears when I dropped her
off at Sunday school last week. With time and patience you little
one should grow out of it. Just don't expect to be like other moms
who can hand off their child and enjoy a little adult time:)
